In support of The Food Pantries For The Capital District, we will be collecting food and cash donations in our lobby from November 24th – December 22nd.
From the Food Pantries website: “96,760 people are considered food insecure in our service area. People who are food insecure lack reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.”
Access to food is a growing concern as hunger is now a chronic problem. Locally, more than 1 in 10 people (11.99%) struggle with having adequate food resources.
If you are visiting our office, please consider bringing in food donations as outlined below – helping the Food Pantries meet the needs of those who need it most. Or, cash donations also go a long way to help. According to the Food Pantries, they can turn every dollar into 6.25 pounds of food!
Help us fill these containers!
