The Print Production Tech is a multi-faceted position. You will work closely with our team of designers to bring concepts to life through both print and digital media. Your primary focus will be preparing and producing artwork within our internal print department as well as with our trusted network of external vendors. The Print Production Tech will review final copy, layouts, and content with a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring that measurements, colors, and resolution are accurate for the final product. The Print Production Tech will also operate all production equipment used within the internal Graphics Production Department. This includes but is not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software, Roland printers, and laminators. The Print Production Tech must be a true team player and work seamlessly with the Client Services, Project Management, Logistics, Fabrication, and Administration departments.
How your time will be spent:
- 50% Producing Graphics: Rip files, Print, Laminate, Mount
- 20% Preparing artwork for production
- 20% Ordering graphics through external partners
- 10% Assisting Design Department as needed

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Operate all production equipment including large format printers and finishing machines
- General finishing including weeding, masking, mounting, and quality check of products
- Update and maintain inventory, purchasing material as necessary
- Execute Purchasing Orders, manage vendor relationships and estimate for Graphic projects
- Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of all Graphic Production equipment (Roland 540, Roland 640 and Royal Sovereign laminator)
- Ensure brand standards and have an excellent understanding of color, graphic processes, image quality, and production methods
- Adhere to project deadlines while maintaining a high-level of detail, accuracy and quality
- Work within a fast, energetic-pace and be able to multitask while managing a variety of projects
- Work closely with both internal and external production teams to bring concepts to reality
- Oversee external vendor installation of graphics to ensure quality and consistency
- Effectively communicate all project-related progress, issues, or concerns to the owners and other Project Management teams in a timely and professional manner
- Occasional travel to site locations
- Other duties as assigned
Work Environment & Physical Abilities:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to install vinyl on a wide variety of surfaces (vehicles, walls, substrates, etc.)
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Experience running large format printers, laminators, and graphic application & installation
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
- Extremely detail-oriented & highly communicative
- Positive attitude and the ability to provide constructive solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in preparing print files for Large Format Graphics
- Experience in VersaWorks or a similar program
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Valid Driver’s License
- Agency & Sign Shop experience is a plus
Pay:
$18.00 – $25.00 per hour
