1785: CDPHP’s Doctor’s Office Of The Future

In May, the Capital Region’s leading health plan, CDPHP, opened a brand new state of the art medical facility with area’s preeminent specialty medical practices as the Doctor’s Office of the Future. The facility is a unique partnership between CDPHP, Albany ENT & Allergy Services, Albany Gastroenterology Consultants, Capital Cardiology Associates, and Capital District Renal Physicians, all of whom have come together to improve the experience of care for local patients. It’s also home to Pharmacy ConnectRx, a full-service pharmacy that offers on-site medication pickup and consultations, free home delivery, and specialty drugs and specialty medicine products.

The Doctor’s Office of the Future concept also combines top notch health care with features such as valet parking, electric car charging stations, an on-site pharmacy, on-site laboratory services, telemedicine pods, a refreshment center, patient education center, community room, kids’ nook, and much more. The facility is located right in Creatacor’s backyard at 1785 Route 9 in Clifton Park.

As the building was being constructed CDPHP came to the team at Creatacor looking for help to develop, tell, and illustrate the story of this new unique medical facility, highlighting all the building had to offer, and informing visitors of what providers are there inside the building. With such a wide variety of offerings, and multiple different practices being featured, it provided our Design Team with another opportunity to shine.

Everywhere you look the building tells a story of CDPHP’s top quality care and commitment to its members and the local community. Upon entry into the building visitors are drawn to a feature wall that focuses on important milestones in care and offerings for their members. This theme is then expanded on and carried through the building with patient stories that relate to each practice. At the entrance to each practice within the 1785 building these patient stories are displayed and provide positive testimonials of how each practice benefited the patient’s life and pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.

As you move throughout the building you are treated to many special features that were all specifically designed by our team to continue to tell the story and message of CDPHP’s pursuit of higher level care for their members. On the main level the Healthy Bites Cafe, Community Room, Customer Connect Area, and Zen Garden all provide areas of high design and impact. In the Community Room our Design team’s talents take center stage. Jason, our Design Manager, created a hand sketched mural of the Capital Region that spans over three large walls. The mural features iconic Capital Region landmarks such as the NYS Capitol Building, the Egg, the Twin Bridges, Saratoga Race Course, Lake George, and the Adirondack Mountains. This one of a kind art piece captures the beauty of the Capital Region and reinforces CDPHP’s commitment to the local community.

The second floor of the building continues the cohesive design. Large glass panel walls make up the practices’ offices. On these glass panels floor to ceiling frosted patterns create a visually appealing screen for patient privacy. A place for children to wait has been created called the “Kids Nook”. Inside this cozy area Jason again created a one of a kind hand drawn mural of a camping scene, complete with bears stealing a meal from the campers picnic basket. The mural spans four walls and creates an unforgettable place for children. Also on the second floor employee break rooms and well traveled areas were used to provide inspirational images and messages to encourage and inspire top level care.

Congratulations to the team at CDPHP for providing the local community with such an outstanding medical facility that goes above and beyond in every aspect. We are proud to be a part of the project and look forward to working with CDPHP and other businesses, both locally and nationally, to achieve the highest customer experience.
