Creatacor Job Posting: Assistant to VP of Finance & Human Services

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Finance:

  • Reconcile Multi State Monthly Sales Tax Returns
  • Maintains complete copies of all of the monthly sales/use/ tax reports, payment confirmations, and other supporting documentation
  • Review and resolve sales/use tax notices from various government agencies
  • Maintain Vendor/Client Exemption Certificates, review and update customer and vendor exemption certificates; Perform yearly audits
  • This position requires interaction with internal personnel, customers and vendors in pursuit of appropriate documentation and or to ensure tax compliance on the transaction
  • Establish new or improved tax procedures, processes as a result of research, audits or law changes;
  • Continual Research to 
mitigate the potential risk exposure as well
as identify and pursue recovery opportunities.
  • Daily Review internal invoice request for sales tax accuracy prior to invoice creation
  • Upload Invoices electronically to various customer invoicing websites
  • Review and upload Clients PO’s into Job Critical
  • Liaison with Sales Tax processor; Gather and prepare supporting documentation
for preparation of sales and use tax returns filing by third
party; validate the accuracy of all reports filed
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain Creatacor’s Certificate of Insurance- Vendor/Customers Ability to receive, review and interpret Certificates submitted, determine if they are in compliance with Company’s Insurance Requirements including yearly audit to add/delete recipients
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Monthly Depreciation Schedule
  • Maintain internal Inventory controls to process depreciable purchases and removal of Inventory items
  • Liaison with Insurance Agent on Insurance Policies
  • Maintain Vendor Non-Compete Agreements
  • Process various Bi-Weekly Payroll Reports

Human Services (backup as needed):

  • Process short-term disability, workers compensation claims
  • Maintain employees’ auto insurance Card
  • Payroll Back-up

Essential Training / Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Conscientious, Dependable and a self starter
  • Familiar with Office Machines (Fax, Copier, Scanner, etc.)
  • Team Player

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • College Degree preferred in Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in accounting/finance (direct experience with Sales and Use Tax a plus)
  • Microsoft Office Programs: Excel (a must), Word (Mac a plus but not required)
